ØBLíK
Theresa KUHN & Maroussia DIAZ VERBEKE
Le troisième Cirque Company
Flexible wire / Clown
Show for all ages – Created in 2025
Duration: 45 minutes
Presentation
In German, “Schräg” means “oblique,” but also something unusual or comical.
In ØBLíK, Theresa Kuhn plays with balance, always just off center.
Between two large “A”s (Ah?) holding a rope, everything moves and unfolds.
For 45 minutes, the show explores the art of living obliquely: a quest to stop looking at each other askance.
A performance where the flexible thread becomes architecture, where the clown hides in the folds, and where public space is transformed into a stage.
Schräg. Schräger. Am schrägsten.
Oblique. Oblik. ØBLÍK
Artist’s background – Theresa Kuhn
Originally from Germany, where she discovered clowning, Theresa Kuhn began training at Circomedia (Bristol, England) at the age of 16, where she studied physical theatre and Slackroping.
She continued her training at the CNAC (Châlons-en-Champagne), where she gratuated in 2021.
With ØBLíK, she created a show for public spaces, combining balance, ephemeral architecture, and poetry.
She is also collaborating with Maroussia Diaz Verbèke / Le Troisième Cirque on other project , like Circus Remake (created in 2024) and sometimes she is participating in projects such as For as long as we are here… (Squareheadproductions).
